Simple Financial Planning

6 key principles

In the world of financial planning, there is an endless amount of advice. Because of this never-ending list of advice, it might be hard to get started with your financial plan.

However, financial planning can be distilled down into six key principles:

  1. Awareness of your financial situation
  2. Optimize your spending
  3. Establish an emergency fund
  4. Save for retirement
  5. Get out of debt
  6. Protect what you have

Are there ways to do each of these better? Yes. Are there layers to each of these? Yes… but don’t let that prevent you from starting. Take action on these six key principles and you will be doing great.

Ready. Set. Go.
